Before throwing axles in, re-check tire balance/roundness, and also the front end.....

Got the car back. Drivers side axle replaced. Problem fixed! I always did think it was an axle...but reading too many forums left me questioning myself. Couple more facts that may help someone in the future....there was no excessive play with the old axle, but when they removed it, it just fell apart. If your car has a vibration under very slight acceleration, but the vibration goes away when you let off the throttle....I would definitely think about replacing your axle/axles. I guessed right on the driver'* side, but I was totally ready to change them both if changing one wasn't effective. Thanks for the responses, and I hope this helps someone in the future.
