That'* not a scanner or code reader. All it does is short the ALDL to flash the codes. You can jumper those pins on the connector and read them through the CEL. You got ripped buying that thing.
I don't think we saw the same thing, what I see was linked is this:
.: Products: 12 Pin ALDL OBD1 Bluetooth Scanner / Code Reader / Adapter (MK II) and ALDL Scan App
I haven't seen any 1994/1995 able to flash codes, and I know they don't flash out Pxxxx codes.
If you haven't already however, I really do recommend giving a good check to the power feeds, especially the ones going to the power distribution blocks. My 1994 Regal has a block next to the battery that keeps working loose, and when it gets loose, it causes all sorts of odd behaviors, including the voltage not running where I want it to be.
I'm hesitant to throw an alternator at this point, and still recommend a full charging system test. Even a bad battery can affect voltage.
If you short the right hand pins on the ALDL it will flash codes through the CEL.
That thing is called a scanner which it is not as a scanner will provide real time data.
That thing says 'bluetooth' and yet is is direct fit.
It'* junk.
I stand corrected. I never seen a bluetooth scanner that had a monitor. I thought the led in the end of the devise blinked like the cel.
Ok. You have scan data available. Look under codes and you will have an erase codes view freeze frame etc.
Did you disconnect the battery? What codes show with KOEO?
having a problem with aldl app clearing codes so the manufacturer made a adx for me and sent it over so i can use the other mode advanced app and try it
ill let you know tomorrow once i get it cleared properly.
if anyone in the future comes searching for the adx file heres a text link
Issue clearing codes, went as far as disconnecting the battery for 24 hours, still would not clear out.
figured out one of the stored codes however, the P0117 coolant temp low and P0118 coolant temp high was caused by a damaged su102 coolant temp sensor, the head was completely snapped off.
