Default 94 Regal, broken seat.

Well, 2 days in, and I am starting down the list. Job one is to get this stupid seat squared away. After pulling the seat out, and determining the source of the problem, I discovered I have the exact same problem as this guy:

Broken drivers seat 96 cutlass supreme

I can get pics later on if need be, but after assessing the issue with a friend who specializes in metal work and welding, we have determined that the steel seat pan is rivited to a pair of aluminum rails which contain the tilt mechanisms, which are then secured to the steel seat slider rails. The aluminum rails break, usually in the area where the front of the seat is riveted.

I want to fix the issue one time, and not make a junkyard run for the same thing every year. I am a big dude (6'1", 475lbs), and I also bought the car from another big dude, but from the looks of interwebbing, and the design of this seat, it would be a recurring issue.

So, I am curious, has anyone else gone any rounds with this issue, and what have you found? Is there another setup that would fare better? Or should I just go to the junkyard and buy every seat I can now?

Well, because of moving parts, it'* almost impossible to beef these parts up......

Afraid you will have to replace as necessary....
