Wow congrats William on all that in out work and finally fixing it right yourself.
I know I would not be able to do the work you did, as I don't have patience or time for such a undertaking.
If my trans goes it will be hello is this GM....
Can I have a SERTA please!!! I think they are about $1500 here or so.

when my father inlaws 96 bonnie needed done the dealer wanted 3400 and that was probably 8 yrs ago

Justin I checked last year on a GM certa rebuild 4t65-e and it was for trans only15- $1600 with my company discount.
I would not let GM install it though. Their labor rates are the price of tranny for install!
I could install it at friend shop for a minimal fee.

Yeah I wouldn't let them install it either, the nice thing is the transmission comes with a 5yr warranty regardless who installs it. If it goes bad you take it back to the dealer and it'* their problem, I think it kind of makes the few hundred extra bucks for a SERTA worth it.

i had the car done at a local trans specialty place and they did the job complete for under 1000, if i was them i wouldnt be touching any one elses trans. and im not going to do it my self when i can get someone else to do it for 400 cheaper
