Default 2012 Regal GS condenser

I have to replace the condenser due to a leak. My question is how much refrigerant oil to add with the new condenser and receiver/drier? I don’t see a component change table showing the amount in the svc manual.

Thanks for for any advice,GS

Problem is, you don't know how much oil was lost during the leak. So..

Remove the condenser and drain out all the oil into a measuring cup. Same thing with the drier. add it all up, then dump in the same amount of new oil.

Proper way would be to disconnect the compressor. Rmv the drier. Flush the entire a/c system, then put in the manufacturers recommended amount of oil into the system. Install new drier, vacuum the system, then charge it.

Thanks. I thought of that & have since found the chart I was looking for in the svc. manual. Overlooked it being in a hurry.

It also depends if it was a catastrophic leak vs a slow leak......there is a spec for that too...
