2011 Regal Front Shocks
I have a 2011 Buick Regal Turbo with the Interactive Drive System. Today I noticed some noise coming from the driver side front while driving. After looking, it appears the oil in the shock has leaked out. After searching for new shocks, I was unable to locate shock for the interactive drive at any of the part stores, all I found were the shocks without it. I was able to finally locate some from a GM parts site.
The question I have is, if I get the shocks from the parts store without the interactive drive will that cause any issues? I realize there won't be the features of the interactive drive, but in the long run, would that be problematic? Are there any other sites to look at that may have these shocks?
Thanks in advance.

I think if you put in the normal shocks you'll end up with a light on the dash indicating trouble with the interactive shocks. I haven't messed with this model in particular, but other cars with variable damping are like that, and for many of them they make a "normal" unit with a chip to trick the computer to replace the special unit . . . and the "normal" unit is a fraction of the cost of the original (and yes more functional) OEM unit.
