Default replaced rear shocks

i just replaced the rear shocks on my 05 bonneville with ac delco #19207418. im getting more clunking now then when i had my old shocks on. rechecked all bolts and mounts to make sure they were tight and they were. my shocks came with new mounts so im having a hard time figuring out what this could be. any help would be great

Did you check any of the suspension besides the shocks. Might be something else and the new shocks are making it more pronounced.

Is it something in the spare tire well or in the trunk that'* causing the noise? Have you tried taking everything out of the trunk and driving.

I had the same trouble. I never could figure out what was making the noise. Everything was tight. I switched to the Monroe MA822 and never had another problem. I think there was a TSB about it.
