Default 1999 Century - "Low Coolant" light

Hey all,

For the past month or so, my "Low Coolant" light has either been solid or blinking. Obviously when it first lit up I checked my coolant level and everything seems fine. Has anyone else had this issue?

The coolant level sensor could have some corrosion on the wiring harness connector, or sensor terminals, I'd unplug it and inspect for corrosion if you can, if there is any clean it up, replace harness end if necessary, and use some dielectric grease on it.

The other thing that comes to mind is you could have an air pocket in the coolant system, to make sure you do not you can get the car up to operating temperatures, then use the bleeder screw on the thermostat housing to expel any possible air, then close it.

Mine came on a while ago, but the coolant was actually down a little. I added some, and it hasn't come on since..

I second the coolant sensor though. It might have a bad connection.

These cars are HORRIBLE for those sensors. Sometimes they get gummed up and the light will not turn off. Unplug it, if the light goes out, you need a new sensor.
