ABSOLUTELY!

Look at the first diagram....the signal from the key(resistance), goes to the BCM....that'* why you should check the resistance at connector C2, at terminals B3 and B4.......if it equals the key, make sure the female connectors in the harness at B3 and B4 are tight.....

So if the BCM does not receive the right resistance, or if it is bad, it will not transmit a signal via Class II serial data to the PCM...without it, the PCM will not ground the starter enable relay.....other possibilities are open circuit to PCM on the Class II, circuit #1049, or even a bad PCM....

As I said, usual scan tools and code readers can only read "P" codes.....you need to be able to read "B" and "U" codes to diagnose this....

update. My GSX lives again. I had burnt power wire in wiring harness to pcm. Thanks for everyones help. Ty

Update 2 got my car fixed so I thought. I took her on a 200 mile trip and I lost 1st N 2nd gear. I guess a limp mode? Check engine light came on shortly after. Good news is I made it home wo a trailer ? Maybe another bad wire ? CoDE p0751
