Default 1998 Buick LeSabre oil pressure sending unit/switch

3800 Series II
I am going to purchase a replacement oil pressure sending unit/sensor but have seen two different types, both listed as “exact fit for your vehicle”. One is listed as “AC Delco oil pressure sender” and the other is listed as “ACDELCO19244519 GM Original Equipment; Fuel pump and engine oil pressure sensor”. Are these one and the same i.e, interchangeable?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Mike. I just thought it strange that it would be for the fuel pump and the oil pressure. I wonder, if it was designed to kill the fuel pump if the pressure sensor goes into the red or fails completely?

That is correct, no oil pressure, no fuel.

Well . . . except that the fuel pump circuit would be energized by the fuel pump relay (unless it has failed).

It'* more of a backup for if the fuel pump relay fails. If the fuel pump relay is working it will still run with no oil pressure . . . for a little while.
