Default 92 oil pressure problem

I have a 92 w/out the supercharger. i will be driving and then the oil pressure on the dash will ding and fall to 0, shutting off the ingine. then it will not start. it randomly does this off and on. I got it checked at C T and they came up with nothing. Is there a safety switch that kills the engine or will not allow it to start with "no" oil pressure? could this be a faulty Oil Pressure sending unit by the pass front wheel? Plz help!! :(

Look into the oil pressure sender. They get loose and quit working sometimes. Slide under and wiggle it. If it wiggles, Replace it.

To answer your question, the fuel pump relay will lose power if the oil pressure drops.

Go to another shop for a second opinion and have them connect a MECHANICAL oil pressure gauge to your car. It'* not worth your engine to ignore this.
