Default 1997 Buick Regal GS Radiator cooling fan issue

Noticed today my cooling fans aren't working no fuses blown. Possible relay issue, or sensor? Any ideas?

What indications are you getting that the fans aren't working?

Normally, the low speed fan will kick on around 212*, and high speed will kick on at 226*

If your temp gauge is sitting where it normally does, then I wouldn't worry. But if it really climbs and no fans, then I would investigate.

Thanks for the input, the temperature gauge hasn't gone beyond its normal operating range. So I'll just keep an eye on it.

No worries then. We've had lots of people come here with the same concern.

If you want to actually test the fans, with the engine running, carefully disconnect the engine coolant temp sensor. The PCM will see an issue with the sensor and will now think something is wrong with it and as a safety precaution, turn the fans on low speed. This will also cause the check engine light to come on. But will go away when you plug it back in.
