Default 2006 Lucerne Audio Issue

Thanks in advance for any help! I'm having an issue with the audio a few seconds after I start the car. I lose all audio from the radio as well as the blinkers. The radio stays on but no output. I hear a couple of speaker noises and then is stops. I do get audio for a few seconds. When I stop -- turn the car off and restart it will come back on but quickly fade away. Some mentioned a flash to the computer while others said disconnect the battery and reconnect. Your thoughts on this?

Could be the radio itself has crapped out, really not uncommon for stock units.
Why the blinker'* are not working may be a separate issue, but a bad ground wire or connection could also be a fault here.
