Default 03 buick regal ls cuts off while running/solution

Hello all. Just to keep you up to date on some very useful information I found out during the process of my repairs. My 03 regal would just cut off in the middle of normal operation, without warning just die while driving. like cutting off a light switch. Normally it would just start right back up but after awhile the battery would completely be drained and it would take a jump to restart my car. For all of you with similar issues before you spend 100'* of dollars in sensors. have your ignition switch checked. That what was wrong with mine. Its a pretty easy fix for most of you automotive savvy technicians, but if you dont want to mess with taking the steering column apart, its a $350 repair at most repair shops and you wont even need a new key.

Charles,

Thanks for the post. Blaer/ S10/Bravada/ Jimmy and Sonoma also share this problem with a intermittently failing ignition switch causing the vehicle to die while driving.
