Angry strut problems

Anybody having problems with their stuts making wierd noises???? Went back to the dealership to discover that I needed fronts struts and tie rod ends. All of this was covered under the extended warranty (thank goodness $600+ bill), but I think something is amiss. My car has less than 60,000 miles and already the struts and tie rod ends are shot. Anybody else having the same problem?? Is there anything else to look out for? The warranty runs out next year.

The tie-rod end doesn't surprise me, I've seen them go at half that, but the strut is a little surprising, I have a slight noise in mine when going over bumps but they are 9 years old and have 100,000 miles on them

My struts are back on the car with maybe 10,000 miles on them, because I ran custom air struts for quite awhile, and are fine. But I would check your torsion bar bushings and control arm bushings real close before the warranty is up, mine are very worn. I have some time yet, but am going to get them and the IM shaft thats beginning to clunk before mine runs out.

Thanks for the info, will definately check on those bushing before the warranty runs out. What about the transmission lines. I have read some posts that they are prone to leak. Mine have not started but I am sure when the time comes for that to happen the warranty will be long gone.

The tranny lines and the water crossover seem to be hit and miss, and not a wear problem. We have seen them fail in some fresher ones, and not in a lot of the higher mileage ones. Always worth checking but I'm leaning towards these being fitment during assembly issues. Ya, I know itz a NorthStar and dont that suck.
