If no code was thrown then it is most likely a intermittent loose connection. Check your steering wheel sensor and wheel speed sensors . AS I mentioned earlier, it'* an '05 so set up your online Onstar page and run diagnostics. The Car is able to scan itself and will give you any error codes directly to your Onstar page and email.
Here is the Onstart Homepage to set your account up

Here is my last diagnostic notice from 2 days ago. The car runs an automated scan of itself as good as Mr. Goodwretch can do.

JL it'* really worth the $16.99 a month. Not just the diagnostics, but the ease of mind of getting help if you need it, The basic package includes Automatic Notification of Air Bag Deployment, Emergency Services Stolen Vehicle Location Assistance, Remote Door Unlock, OnStar Vehicle Diagnostics, Access to Hands-Free Calling, Roadside Assistance, AccidentAssist, Remote Horn and Lights, and Virtual Advisor. I have a cell but leave some minutes on my tab for an emergency, convenience.

Service Stability System
If you have gotten this message several times after it has reset take your car to the dealer and have it checked out. I have a 2004 GXP with 33000 miles on it and i had gotten the same message several times over the course of a week. One of the times it made a grinding sound and the car seemed to have trouble stopping. I took it to the dealer and they had to replace a part. Here is what my work order states: "Found code C1287 steering sensor failure E7690. Replaced steering position sensor. This was covered under original warranty. the dealer told me the car would likely hold an error code for a few days....so if its been a while since you've gotten the message the code may be deleted.
