Default Brakes

Well ever since I bought the car the front brakes had a squeal from 0 to about 20km/h. Dealer told me that the people I purchased the car from put cheap pads on it and I would have to replace them meself. So I decided I would replace both the rotors and the pads on the front. Now I am not sure if it is dierectly connected, but I am sure it is. The car almost seems to roll easier. My in town gas mileage went from 13mpg to 17mpg. Highway is up from 23mpg to 26mpg. The front brakes seemed to be very hot when I changed everything, even after sitting 30 minutes. To me it would seem like a caliper problem but everything works fine now. Any thoughts on this?
