Default SSEI all the way!

Sorry guys, I'll take my SSEI w/240hp & 280lbs torque over the 01-03 Aurora w/250hp & 260lbs torque. Also, the Aurora is heavier (3800+lbsvs3790lbs). The bonny would definitely get the jump and there is no way the Aurora could catch and pass the bonny. It would definitely hang with the bonny as a close second, but the bonny'* top end speed is easily achieved at 135mph. Unless the Aurora has a ridiculous top end speed, I can't see it passing it. My friend has a 1990 12cyl 7series BMW and he will tell you how hard it is to pass the bonny once it has gotten the jump. You need a lot more hp and top end speed. If not, maybe 10 more miles of straight road might help, but for real, nope! Stock Aurora owners dream on! Sorry

It does have ridiculously top speed (Autobahn equipped)

I have driven a lot of Bonnevilles, and the only one that I could seriously expect to be faster then me is a moderately modded Series II l67 or a HEAVILY modded Series I L67. Ie Bills car.

140 mph and higher shift points, its a quick car, not as fast off the line, but I could catch and surpass a stock L67 any time. Not to hate on any Bonnies, so dont get all antzy in the pants. But dont knock the V8 until you have experienced it at 135+ mph

The aurouas are RWD right? If so I would take the Aurouras side cause sure I haven't driven a 3800 series II supersharged but once you get amazing tourque the wheels just spin way to much off the start........... my generation I 3.8l 3800 lost off the line to a 3.3l buick cause I was just spinning out.........once the tires gripped I flew by him tho

Jim, anyone can have ridiculous top speed pretty easily. Bill'* isn't a heavily modded L67, at this point it'* all bolt ons... The 4.0 doesn't have much against a 3800, but the 4.9'* do.

One thing you've all missed is reliability, and durability. N* has a MUCH shorter life span, from it'* block, and it'* heat dissapation (or lack of).

Not from the factory, most cars need heavy mods to be ridiculously fast. Compare stock to stock. L47 is a bigger faster engine.

I have driven 3 of the 4 major 3800'* (LN3, L27, L67 Series II) and I would take mine stock for stock any day over it.

But I'm not gonna argue my opinion anymore.
