Sometimes upon starting my GXP, I have to let the engine crank a few seconds before it turns over. If I try to crank it and I have this problem, I turn the ignition back to the beginning position and try again. The car then starts. Could this be the fuel pump or something else?

I had the fuel pressure checked and it was ok. The dealership said that the fuel retention ball could be sticking or falling back upon shutting off the car. However, the problem has to be caught in process in order to verify. I was also told that it could be anything...The fuel pump could be a posibility. It'* frustrating.

Yes, I am letting the car go through it'* cycle. The carwouldcrank as if it'* getting no gas, then it would start softly. However, if I encounter this problem and stop cranking, and retry, it starts right up. The dealership checked the fuel pressure and it was ok. The dealer stated that I would have to wait until the problem became regular in occurance so that they can catch the issue. Do you have any ideas or suggestions???
