weird starting problem
hey guys wondering if you've ever heard of this, it was pretty weird...
went to a store, parked the car and went inside for about 20 mins. when i came back out, i went to start the car and it started up and ran for about 1/4 second then died. after that it would crank it but it wouldn't catch. had full power, no lights were on (check engine, security)...
i eventually used my wifes set of keys and cranked it for about 3 seconds and it started right up. at the time i was parked on a slight angle and haven't had any problem since with either set of keys any thoughts?

Chunk of crud on the VATS resistor pellet of one key? Lint from your pocket? Clean both keys (pellets) with a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol. Same thing with the contacts in the ignition switch.
See if the problem repeats.

i figured the whole thing is just some strange fluke, but my wife is freaked out, cause we've only had the car for like 2 weeks now...
haven't had any issues with this at all before, haven't had any issues since, so i'm really not all that worried about it...

sorry if i didn't have enough detail in my original post (had my wife type it while i was working on something, didn't double check what i said out loud)...
when the car wasn't starting, it was still crankin like mad. i mean, the starter was movin that thing fastttt. it really sounded like the only thing missing was gas. i didn't think it was too likely, but i'm not too familiar with this car yet - but if the pump was at the back of the tank, is it possible that i just had the car at such an angle that no gas was at the pump?
*shakes head*
i really don't think that has anything to do with it, but it'* about all i could think up, other than some random will never-happen-again-issue...

too much for my thoughts to be correct, i'm afraid
anyhew, i think i filled up to the tune of 12 gallons or so... so there was a good 6 gallons in the tank. tooooo much i'm pretty sure...
