I thing a N* area is a great idea. It'* such a lightly supported area. And it'* totally different from the 3800. I wont be able to do any write ups. Need to find someone else for that.

Between Darcy and I and going through the old posts, I think we can handle that Dan. I'll have niceguy add a section named Northstar and put in it my History of the LD8 from way back, dig out pertinent issues and fixes inherent to it and include this.

With everything you've done and researched, you're definitely the authority here. I think you'll be able to get this new section well on its way. I'll certainly do what I can to help

In reality, most of what I know is from alot of reading/research, being here on the boards 3 years and knowing the suspension pretty well. I change it back and forth enough. But practicle mechanical experience is little. My engine seems to be a factory fluke with nothing gone wrong with it. But as these Northstars start to age, and members are starting to report more commons problems, it'* time to address them as we learn and catalog them. I have a request for the section in with niceguy. We will start with a simple section since it'* not alot to deal with at the moment and expand as needed.

I'm pretty sure the oil cooler lines are my problem as well. :(
I can see the GM part# in one of the photos (25731360). Can you post the other part # as well?
I have a good friend that works at a hydraulic fittings/hose repair shop and plan to see how much this will run me.
Thanks for taking the time to research this.
