I just dropped the car back off to the dealer. They gave me a rental (2006 Ugly brown/gold GP with the hubcap and onstar delete, the window sticker was in the glovebox!) Anyways, i told the service writer about the sunroof visor "fix" and he said he would look into it. I woudl have taken pictures of the visor, but for the life of me cant find my digital. I looked everywhere, but will look again tonight.

I am having a meeting with the Service Manager today about the HUD and we will see what happens. Also my sunroof visor is the same way, it is loose and barely higher than the roof. I am guessing this is normal for the car???

Not normal for the car. Mine was loose like that and barely high. The new one is tight and goes high like it should.

When i got home from work, there was a message from the dealer about the HUD and i was told to call. I called back and the service writer said the unit was defective and thet they ordered a new one. They are having it overnighted, and the car will be ready tomorrow afternoon. I am pleased with the fast service and how they inform the customer about whats going on. I just hope, they put the dash back together properly without any rattles etc... He also said the visor appers to be normal. When i get it back tomorrow, i will take pics and post them.

I didn't want to post untill i had pics ready. Anyway, the Hud is 99% better and maybe its me, but the image seems much clearer too! The only thing i knoticed that the dealer did was to slice the dash. Its not real big or noticable, but its there. You can only see it when the doors open and when you are looking for it. Sorry about how large the pics are, i dont know how to make them smaller, but i will try to downsize them later this am.

Also here are 3 photos of the sunroof visor. The first two are with it up by itself, and the last one is with me pulling it up. I think for now i will leave it the way it is, since its pretty quiet, actually seems quieter then when i push it aqll the way up. At least it now pops up! Sorry for the lousy pics, but i did it quickly this am, i was running late for work. Maybe this afternoon or tomorrow i will take more if anyone wants them.
