Default HUD Vibration

I find the HUD on my GXP has alot of vibrations. I took the car to the dealership and they said it was normal. I tried to explain that it vibrates even when I am not on rough roads. They took the car for a test drive and they still felt it was normal.

I drove a 2005 Grand Prix GXP and what a difference. No vibrations at all. Even when I was travelling over some poor road conditions.

I was coming home from easter dinner from granny'* and the numbers were all over the place and the highway isnt that bad.

Is anyone else there having the same problems? And if so were you able to get them fixed?

Any input would be appreciated.

I would think somethings up with the mounts. I live out in the sticks with very bumpy roads and havent had any vibrations at all. I hear alot these days about Dealers dismissing things because GM has a newer policy about not giving Dealers money back on things not listed in TSB'* and especialy items they cant replicate "on the spot" Be interesting to see if others have that problem but mine is very steady.
Sucks they dont want to fix things till they are outright broke :?

My moms GXP does the same thing. It annoys the hell out of me when driving. I get almost dizzy looking at it. Coming from my antique 93 Grand Prix9 which is solid as a rock and 10 times clearer) i can't stand it and usually turn it off.

I am taking the car in next week to have that looked at, and have the sunroof wind visor fixed. Its been broken since we got it.

When she got in in Jan, i opened the roof and didnt see the visor. I asked the salesman and he said pontiac was doing away with them. Said the car didnt need it since its quiet w/o it. I believed him. A few weeks ago i had it open and when i got home i looked and there it was. Stuck down. Pryed it up and it just kinda flops around. We both love the car, but i can see where GM has been getting alittle cheap on things in the last few years.

A little cheap is an understatement!! I have never had so many problems with a vehicle in my life!! I love the design and the overall performance. All the little things have made a love/hate relationship with this car.

I didnt even know I had one till i read this post. Went out to car with flashlite and dam it there it is,... flopping in my fingers and it hasnt worked since day one. This is getting off topic and not spefic to our models so I'll post in 2000-2005 before the off topic police write a summons. I just CANT believe it!

There is a topic here already on GXP HUD vibration by a member that got a big runaround by the dealer. I assisted him by intervening with GM Customer Service on his behalf, and the problem was finally fixed on his 3rd visit to the dealership.

Anyone care to search? I'm on the way to work right now.
