Well it isnt just my engine that chugs gas,... I'm glad to see Hemieater. A 4 hour aggressive trip with My car club came into Carlilse custom show at 10.8 but a guiet ride home has it back to 14.2. It was car'* first highway trip and now has near 2600 miles.I havent seen a 15MPG since I bought it. The $3.32 per gal. has tempered my foot. Crusing with car and nitrous has gotten to be a costly habit

10,000 miles on mine and I'm getting 21 mpg. I don't drive particularly hard but I put my foot into it a couple times a day.
I was only getting around 17 in the winter, probably from longer warmups.

Default GXP MPG

Well filled up Tuesday 5-16 (Prem for Reg Price $2.65 on super Tuesdays) and computer is now showing 14.8 AVG for 1/4 Tank. Wife tells me its my foot? Dealer tells me put some miles on it and stop washing it and just parking it in the garage.

After a weekend on the road, and no nitrous runs.....I am back to 13.8. Odometer now at 2800. Motor seems to be loosing up alot and tranny shifting as I want it using the gas pedal.

Everything on mine felt tight until 7500 miles or so. She pulled noticably stronger after that point too.
No 1000 mile break-ins with these cars.

That may seem low but the truth is almost all my miles are two lane country road and city miles. Car seldoms see'* the highway and I am a FIRM believer in not using 4'th gear in an automatic unless your on the highway. The constant shifting between 3 and 4 really what wears a tranny. My cabs lasted a lot longer once I started that practice. Went up to Ithaca today (highway) and she read 15.2 when I got home.... A new best for my car.

Plus they do at least 129 mph in third (at least mine does).
Who needs fourth?
