GXP mpg
You're lucky... I just paid over $2.50 for premium.
According to the car, there is no way I'm going to get over 20mpg
But damn it... I still love the car, love the power! (the freaking blood sucker!)

Rofl @ myself, Z dont know where my brain left me I meant $2.79. And a year ago I thought 1.79 was high......Thinks its time to trade in my debit card for a 5 foot section of rubber hose.
I really cant judge the mileage though, I have zilch for highway miles as yet. maybe it would see 20 mpg on a trip.
I'm up to 3000 miles and finally squeezed in a 180 mile road trip. I reset the computer while on the highway. At 70-75mph, the trip computer says I averaged 23mpg at the end of the trip. I babied it all the way. So I guess it is possible.
In the 9 months that I've had my '05 GXP, I have taken 1 long road trip to northern Ohio. One tank of mostly interstate driving at 70 mph averaged 23 mpg. My wife drives the GXP most of the time, mostly suburban traffic and averages 17-18 mpg. I have gutted my airbox and installed a drop-in K&N filter.
Overall, I can't complain about the mileage with the N* V8 power and the size and comfort of the Bonneville. I still remember my '67 Bonneville 428 averaging 10-12 mpg on premium leaded! So, I still think we've come a long way with the advances in power, fuel economy, emissions and durability.

We have about 7K on ours and it gets about 22mpg highway... not thrilled about it, as much a range issue as a cost issue. Our SSEi gets about 25mpg and 60 more miles out of a tank... and frankly is a tad quicker... sigh.
But I love the car.

Just cheked today and I am at 16.8 mpg and I drive pretty fast most the time. Highway was like 22. And as far as the SSEi and GXP mpg difference dont expect a V8 to get the mileage of a V6

My 05 with 8,070 Miles is showing 13.8 average on the computer, I have never seen better than 15 average with mixed Highway City Driving. Premium has been used since day one when it had been delivered with 51 miles (Quality pulled this unit and tested on track prior to delivery). @ 400 mile highway trip returned 18. This car gets terrible MPG but I still keep putting my foot into it!
