Its not fair to compare the tranny and engine in a 5.0L Mustang V8 to a Bonneville, its to apples-to-oranges type comparision. Frankly I would rather have a long living high geared electronically controlled tranny with 24% power loss from GM then deal with some of the other garbage trannies in domestic cars.
I wasn't trying to do a comparison. I was pointing out that Ford found a problem with their intakes and that their customers were not getting the advertised HP numbers. The reason they found this problem was their customers were complaining about the HP. If we were all questioning whether our GXPs were really putting out 275HP, then it would be something to look into. If everyone is confident the engine is really outputing its advertised 275HP, then its not an issue.
