gm4life the fix is they tear whole panel off and redo and thats sucks. especially when ya buy the car in east jesus, PA , and everyone in the body shop looks like goober pyle... i'm Really cosidering just having the guy thats doing my paint job stick mine back in place when he shoots it.

ANd Pgxp your dealer was blowing smoke at you. When I mentioned it to my dealer he said the problem is noted, and frequent enough for GM to adopt a policy of taking whole panel off and using new tape. They dont seem competent to me . It took them 2 hours just to do oil/filter swap, and temporary fix to trim piece. And the fix looks like hell.

I was at the body shop (helping with nitrous) and gave him the OK for the paint job.
(gm4life dont panic!!), It'* still gonna be Cranberry, bro. I'm having a pearlescent flake called "Red ice" mixed with clear put on the Cranberry Metallic followed by a couple more clear for depth.He'* going to pull back the loose panels and put back on with adhesive instead tape and tug at the rest to make sure any more arent coming loose.
Any opinions as to whether My original warranty will be voided (non engine wise) because of engine mods? I'm gonna call the dealership Monday and sort it out

any aftermarket mechanical parts added to the car will void the warrenty...

I realize drivetrain gonna be voided, just wondering about the rest of warranty regarding front end, body,electronics not specific to the drivetrain etc.? Going to b interesting chat with dealer I'm sure but I've passed the point of no return.

oooh yes. I was warned by my dealer that even by replacing the factory cd player with an aftermarket unit will void the warranty on anything electrical. (Including the computer, and all wiring, modules, etc.)
