Audio (and aftermarket electronics) This is your place for alarms, remote starters, to brag about your system, exaggerate your db levels, or simply ask questions for stock or aftermarket audio. No Flames! (except from roasted amps)

Wire length...I'm worried what I bought isn't enough!

K....would you feel safe buying off of ebay? I'm just a bit afraid the mail will do something to them and they'll buzz on lows or something like that.

OKay, is there any component set you'd personally reccommend?

I'm probably going to get this

in the stero business its really personall preference, I have the Type RF 5.25 comps in the front and then adapted the back 6x9'* to a 6.5 component set...but try and listen to some sets if you can and make a decision.....im sure others have experience with other sets as well, and i will let them chime in

Okay, thanks for all of the help. I think I've come down to two pairs of 5.25 components, which of these two would you all suggest? I'm thinking the orions because they can handle 150 watts rms, vs the JLS 50.

or

Thanks again for all of the help!

The polks are fine with an amp. make sure the seller has good feedback.... IF YOU ARE NOT putting an amplifier on these do not even think about getting them.... and those are 5.25" btw when you specifically said you converted to 6.5"*

personally going by power handeling alone the Orions are a better choice, as they will handle more power (150) as apposed to the JL'* (60)

Ehh...I plan on running them off of the head unit for a while. My amp is a mono channel amp I'm using for my subwoofer.
Is there a way I can power them with my amp, the front speakers only?

The amp has hookups for 2 subs, so could I use one of the hookups to power the front speakers, and the other for the sub?
