I am glad you asked because I am looking for a new one myself. My fear though is that there aren't many that will fit our dashes perfectly. How do you know if the dimensions are right? All the ones I have found look longer and thinner than what I have now.

yeah Hailey, they are not the same size. very few companies make cd decks the same size that GM made our factory units (din and a half) and most every after market decks are just a single Din size. pioneer makes one that will fit perfectly, so does audiovox.
Heres a link to the ones that will fit with no modifications.

these are the only ones that i have found so far, but if you dont decide to go with these ones, and pick one that you like...crutchfield will supply you with the kit that will center it into the dash for free i believe. lots of people here with this done, just look around.
If the link doesnt go directly to the page, just search for GM/Chrysler-sized Receivers

has anyone ever come across a kit that will hold an aftermarket deck into the bonnie and have a little space underneath to store CDs & such? Does anyone know what I mean?

ALPINE Head units look cool and sound phenomal. I've had Pioneer, Kenwood, Clarion, & blaupunkt. ALpine is troublefree and skip free. had it for 3 years and never had a problem. It was high end 400 dollar unit from Circuit City 3 years ago cant remeber the model number now.

i had everything professional installed. It wasnt that much and weel worth the hassle.
