i suspect its because adire audio went down the drain. exodus picked up dan wiggins, (who is the designer of the xbl^2 motor used on the shiva) and now they sell the drivers for cheap cheap cheap!

I dont know about subs at all really but I am getting this sub for about $250 and I thought audiobahn where great products but wasnt sure. I saw Their quad 2 ohm voice coils can handle up to 2250 watts of continuous power, and I was like WOW!!!!! My friend is hooking me up with a RF 1500w amp (not sure on exact details) Anyways so this stuf hits but quality sucks? Put it this way I liked my 2-12 bazookas if this will out kick them and sound better I am all for it.

the 2 12'* (bazookas) are going in the jeep

if your gonna have 1500 watts of power to feed your subs, first things first, get an ho alt. you'll absolutely need it.
audiobahn and bazooka are on the same level in my opinion, i wouldnt choose either one. if youre not really picky about sound quality (which the audiobahn'* are not known for) then go for it. as it was stated before, everyone has their own opinion. they definitely will beat down the block, and you will probably turn a lot of heads too.

if youre more into sound quality, check out the Shiva'* i posted about above. if youre very careful with the gain settings on the amp you could probably get away with feeding them 1500 watts. for just under 100 dollars more you could get 2 12'*, plenty loud, and they will sound WAY better that the audiobomb'*.

Just my 2 cents!

Are you sure you want a 12" sub? If you listen to a lot of rap, techno, stuff with big bass a 12 will be good. However if you listen to mostly metal, rock, music created by a human using an instrument you may want to look at 10".
Since you arent really a sound system dweeb, probably any sub will sound good. Check some of the audio stores near you, I got my first pair of subs from one for a steal(2 10" JL'*).

one L7 would be a pretty good choice. pair this sub with a sealed enclosure, and you'll have plenty of noise, with descent sound quality to boot! i use to own an L7, tried it in both a vented and sealed enclosure.

in a vented enclosure this sub will be very loud! put 'er in a sealed enclosure and you'll likely hear every bass note you can throw at it.

a word of cation, if you go with a ported enclosure, make sure your amp has a subsonic filter at about 25 hz, or you will surely blow it with 1500 watts!

be very careful with the gain settings on the amp, no matter which enclosure you choose.

Thanks for the info, I do want a 12 because I do listen to all kinds of stuff, but I just noticed my friend has 2 15' audiobahns and they sound like crap. Granted there not high end like the immortals are but I hate his subs with a passion I think my 2 -12 bazooka subs were alot cleaner.

Yeah I think I will be going with the L7. I have heard those before and they are freaking loud. I will also be going with a sealed box with it.
