Don't even waste your money.

And.... IIRC, the actual company went under a long while ago. Basically, your buying rebadged junk now.

Yes, they are pretty bottomline stuff.

How much are you looking to spend? If in the $250 range, check out the FI Q, RE SX, the above mentioned Eclipse isn't too shabby, etc...

All depends on your price range, what amplifier you have currently (or if you do not have one, even better!), how big of a box you want, SQ or SPL, etc...

Audiobahn still has a website up and this is what I am looking for are these really bottom of the line?

IMMORTAL SERIES

The Audiobahn IMMORTAL Series subwoofers are designed for the competition environment. Their quad 2 ohm voice coils can handle up to 2250 watts of continuous power. They feature design elements like 200 oz. triple-stacked Strontium magnets, proprietary tall excursion foam surrounds, and 25mm top plates, all ensuring maximum cone excursion and subwoofer efficiency. The Audiobahn IMMORTAL series subwoofers combine all of these advanced subwoofer qualities into an ultra-durable, cosmetically-appealing, chromed 3-dimensional die cast aluminum basket that adds an edgy appeal to any installation.

CONE
The ultra-light 2-layer laminated carbon fiber Kevlar cone features an aluminum dustcap, making the cone rigid as well as lightweight. This design allows the cone to travel more easily with the same amount of power. More pressure and more sound can be created because less power is wasted controlling a heavy cone. Since this is an SPL competition subwoofer,
high efficiency is crucial.

BACK-PLATE
This woofer also features a bumped back-plate, which allows the cone to travel further, increasing excursion. Increased excursion means increased air displacement, which leads to increased sound pressure levels.

COMMON FEATURES

Proprietary Tall Excursion foam surround:
allows for maximum excursion and maximum cone surface area
Ultra light 2-layer Carbon Fiber, Kevlar® Cone with aluminum dustcap
Triple Stack Magnet
Chrome plated 3-dimensional cast Aluminium Basket
25mm Top Plate for Increased Efficiency
2 Ohm voice coil wound on black anodized aluminum former

ehhh.. everyone has opinions. I had a pair of Audiobahn subs a couple years back. They pounded. I have never paid more then $50 for a sub, so I don't really know what I am missing with top of the line stuff.

o.k i personally own 3 15'' dual 2 ohm kicker L7'* and ill tell you nothing would ever make me change them. but if they were not made or if i could not afford them i would definetly go with the immortal sub as long as i got the correct power amp to push it like a mono 400 watt rms amp... kicker kx400.1 is abpout $60-70 on ebay.

if you want the immortal sub then go with it because ill tell you from owning one and my friend having 4 in his durango that they pound when installed in the right box with the right amp..

audioBOMB is what i refer to them as. or doodie.

yes they pound, but for a little extra money you could get something that pounds and sounds good.

check out the shiva-x here http://www.diycable.com/main/product...4f3170561897d3

not very well known, but they are exception drivers, trust me. way better than audiobomb, and cheaper. [/url]
