what size stereo will fit in the hole were i removed the stock stereo from? will i have to make something to mount it in? i was hoping to buy a JVC KW-XR610. also, should i go with a pro install, or is this a DIY?

If you have never done anything like this before, it will be a bit of a challenge. It'* not impossible though, I've done it, as well as plenty of other members, and we will be more than willing to answer any questions.

I don't know the actual dimensions of the radio compared to the hole for your factory radio so I couldn't tell you whether it will fit or not. You do have one of the big square double din factory radios though don't you? I think I remember the newer Grand Prix having a pretty big radio hole.

its prolly a din and a half.... most late 90'* and early 2000'* GM'* had din and a 1/2 openings. i tried to look it up for u but couldnt find much

ur opening should be around 3 7/8" tall, 7 1/8" wide and 6 7/8" deep
