Default aftermarket in 2005 GXP

Searched a bit, but not finding anything. Just had an Alpine IDA-X305 put into my GXP. The trim piece that comes with the radio does not fit and had to be trimmed. The thing looks like crap.
Anyone else put an after market into this era vehicle and have trouble with the trim piece? This was the reason I was leaning towards a double din. I thought they might fit in there better. Are there any trim pieces I could buy seperate that would fit in nicer. Any ideas are appreciated.

Thanks,

Tony
