Did you come out under the trunk seal or over?
First, decide where ya' want the antenna and mount it using double sided tape. Since mine is on the back window and to keep from running the risk of cutting the antenna I ran mine across the trunk seal(NO leaks). Pull the bottom of the back seat and run the wire from the trunk to the inside.. Carefully tuck the wire under the edge of the door trim stopping at the edge of the passenger seat. Pull the hush/kick panel and pull the carpet back just enough you can get a hand over to the back of the dash. Finish running the wire under the carpet to the slot behind the dash. Mount the unit and connect the antenna and power and enjoy while reattaching the panel and reinstalling the back seat bottom.

I put my xm radio antenna in the back corner of the back window, inside the car. I have great reception from that point, i didnt want to put it on the trunk lid as i already have my gps antenna back there, and i thought it would look goofy with two little antennas on the trunk lid,

I'm getting great reception with the antenna inside the car also, even though the manufacture says it must be outside the car... The little boombox i bought gets great reception also as long as the ant is near a window.

I have Sirius and IMO it is head and shoulders above XM. But anyway, I have the Visor from Xact and love it. Looks like a radar detector and not visable from the outside of the car. Here are some pics of the install, I have no scratches yet from the antenna, but might move it to the window like stated in the thread.

I have since hard wired the unit that it turns on and off with the car, and no annoying wire.
