hey guys, the other night my car got broken into... Basically they ripped out the radio, breaking the clips for the dash and also where the radio it self screws in, they got into my glove box where the face plate was, and also they broke my center console. The wiring is also completley messed up cuz i had it hard-wired.

First off. About how much do u think it would be to repair this mess. Second, im asking of a favor from anyone in this forum, i need a recipt for a radio, prefferably a rather expensive in dash dvd player like i had, all i need is a copy of the recipt, doesnt have to have any specific date either. I already have told the insurance company it was a gift, so you would not be involved other then scanning a recipt and sending it to me. Any help would be appreciated


UPDATE i found a recipt and got 500$ from the insurance company, i ordered a panasonic dvd player off ebay for 500$..ill post pictures when it comes in... Also the car goes in monday to have the damages recalculated and to be fixed... about 700$ worth of damage so far

yeah i thought so too, but they said with out proof, they can only give me the amount of a stock radio.

You need to hit up a Junkyard to get the broken trim and console pieces. As far as a reciept, Cant help ya there. The one I have is from the previous owner of my car.

stock radio will probably be more expensive.

a stock radio is definetly not over 600$.... but the insurance company is gonna fix the dash and wiring, i just need to get it apraised somewhere, i work down circuit city, so ill have them give a "estimate" for the rewiring....tommorow when i work ill try to get a recipt from a random customer and use it...but i dont want to get fired lol. But still, if anyone has a recipt let me know

buy one, scan the receipt, take it back, full refund. everybody is happy

anyone else with recipts?...i think im gonna have my car apraised this week for the damage, i have to take the recipt with me... Im not 100% sure but i think the cop marked down it was a pioneer radio..like i had....so hopefully some of you guys have a pioneer radio
