price question - Page 2 - GM Forum - Buick, Cadillac, Chev, Olds, GMC & Pontiac chat

Audio (and aftermarket electronics) This is your place for alarms, remote starters, to brag about your system, exaggerate your db levels, or simply ask questions for stock or aftermarket audio. No Flames! (except from roasted amps)

Yeah, $180 for 2 12s in a box is very good. Mine didn't cost too much more than that.

You can definitely have clean, accurate bass with 12s, so don't worry too much about loudness. Huge bass vs accurate bass is in part dependant on the type of box. Get yourself a nice amp and HU and you'll have nice control of your subs.

exactly, i have a good set of 12s that are more accurate AND louder than the majority of 10s out there, size is far from everything!

Kinda what I meant above guys.

Size doesn't determine what music a subwoofer is good for alone. You have to consider all design aspects of the various parts, and how they influence the sound.
