Default new struts on 1992 sse price and question

ok im having national tire and battery do my struts. all 4 struts with the load leveling on the rear and new mounts and bearings on all 4 wheels. they will be using Monroe sensatracs all around and all for the price of $750.00 + tax. price includes all wheel alignment. not to bad in my book as I would have paid around $500.00 for all the parts not to mention these are the original struts with 230,000 miles on them so they wont be the easiest to get off. my question is one parts place asked for my suspension code for the front upper bearing. no one else has asked this. do any of you know why? the suspension code is FE2. what suspension is this? thanks

I can't answer your question on the suspension code with regards to the front bearing. Are they asking for the strut bearing? Are these included in the price?

The sensatrac'* are a step up from OEM struts, the Reflexes are a bit more responsive than that still.

www.williamwren.com/struts/elc.html will give you a little info on the subject with regards to the rear.

FYI, the Load leveling isn't electronic. It'* air.

Sorry that wasn't very clear was it. Yes they were asking for option code for suspension for the upper mount and bearing. Why I don't know.
The price of $750.00+ tax gets me 4 Monroe sensatrac struts rear one'* are air all 4 upper mounts and bearings and a all wheel computerized alignment. The best I could do to buy these items was close to $500.00 and I would still need a alignment. Also I don't think these are coming of very easy. They are the oem struts with 230,000 miles on them so I will pay the extra money to save myself a day of hell.

Can someone tell me what the fe2 code for the suspension means.

Thank you

FE2 is simply the stiffness category of the springs. It shouldn't have anything to do with the upper strut bearing whatsoever.
