do you mean that you have a 2 gague that goes into a 4 gague??? and I wouldnt recommend hooking it up there

I would say from an installer stand point that is NOT a good place to get power, but Jwkioff dosent to seem to have any problems. I would not recommend this but to each his own

i would say that its fine if no bigger than 8AWG wire is ran.

make sure it is fused within 10" of the connection with no bigger than an 60A fuse
yes fuse that wire, its ok within 12-18 inches, and im runnin a 200A fuse
