The N3 is actually easier to bypass than the N2 if you don't care about voiding the warrenty. With the N2 you had to soilder a jumper between two points on a circuit board together, with the N3 there is simply a switch (this is supposed to be used for technicians servicing the hardware) located in the same spot. Either way you have to remove a warrenty sticker and its usually somewhat obvious thats its been off even when you try to carefully reapply it.
