Default no power to HU

swapped my old HU out for an upgrade today and while the other one was all unhooked and everything.. i moved my car.. now the new one wont turn on and the dinger makes a funny noise... and the security light no longer does anything

i was thinking that i could have messed something up with the security devices bc i turned the car on with no stereo in it

Test the plugs for Constant +12 and switched ignition +12, and check your ground. If something connected the ignition and battery leads together at the deck it could cause some odd things to happen.

figured it out .. it was a blow fuse.. im so dumb for not checking that first

Ive put in LOTS of decks and Ive gotten caught with the blown fuse confusion more than a few times. Half the time its the simplest things that take the longest to figure out. Just make sure when you hook up an amp you use the BLUE/WHITE and not the bolid BLUE. Thats caused some embarassment :P

you know whats funny about that.. i put in a HU in one of my friends cars and the remote wire was solid blue.. there was a little tag on it and it was brand new.. that threw me off a little lol
