When you start the car does the fuse blow immediately?
Did you have any work or additional things done to the car recently?
What else is on that fuse?

Here is something to try if the cig lighters are on the same fuse.
Remove all cigarette lighters from their sockets and confirm there is nothing in any sockets (like a penny) Leave the lighters out, replace the fuse and test. If this solves the problem one of the lighters was shorting the system.

stella, What is the trim level of your Bonneville, does it have the stock radio or upgraded? Are you referring to the Audio fuse, fuse 21 (10A) in the rear fuse block. Does the fuse clear when ignition on?

BillBoost37 / markwb- Thanks for your quick response: All the equipment is OEM. The fuse is never blown (I just reset the fuse and door chime and radio w/secuity start to work). Yes it is the 10A fuse at fuse 21 in the rear fuse box.

Ok...

Are the terminals on that fuse turning brown? If so they are heating up excessively and losing the coating that helps them conduct electricity. Try a new fuse with a dab or two of dielectric grease on them... Put it in and out about 5-10 times with the grease to help it make a good contact. If this problem keeps happening I would suggest replacing the fuse holder terminals and looking for a large draw on that circuit.

I am having a similar problem all of the sudden. Radio worked when I put the car in the garage last night. Now it does not. Fuses look fine. What the heck?
