sorry to keep bashing...but the kit i bought was $10, and came with 3 different mounting depths...i used the middle one...

here is my flush mount it still needs some work(like centering) but u get the idea

yeah that support peice was pretty strong for plastic or what ever it was.

yah i was gonna fabricate my own untill i found a metra kit at circuit city that did gm cars and it covered tons of vehicles. actually my friend bought it for his car but we ended up using some other kit and i got to keep it and the flush mount worked well. i like the flush look so much more than the bubble that most kits have. i like your work though looks just like my flush mount kit cept for the gucci of coarse and yours must be pretty sturdy when you reinforced it with metal.

My headunit is actually somewhat sunk in. The trim ring is even with the front of the mounting kit. I will post a picture tomorrow.
