Sound deadening can, it'* not with resonance though. I'm talking about absorbing all sound. The tweeters in my Hi Fi speakers havea tapered tube behind them to absorb as much sound as possibel without affecting the tweeter'* dome.

My parents picked up a HT setup.
Fronts - 601'*
Rears - 600'*
Center - LCR60
Energy sub.
It'* in our living room, not the best for accoustics, and i don't feel the 601'* are what they shoulda run. They could've gotten floor model CM'* for the same price but passed based on the cabinet finish color.
$1000 bookshelves or $400 ones? Cmon....
