Default Audio shops in Mass or close by?

I have a 2000 SSEI with BOSE and I cant take it any more - the sound quality sucks! I have been reading a lot of the info, as to whats good, whats not, and also how to keep most of the functionality - though I am still confused on what I will loose around the Heads up Display, on star ( I never use it) - parts to keep the functionality of the steering wheel controls. Anyone recommend a place that would do a good install job on my SSEI?

three things, first off... you should come to our upcoming New England Bonneville Club Meet
http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ic.php?t=37274

Second, buy the adapter and take it to Tweeter.
Here is a good write up about installing on a 2000+

third, where in mass are you?

Just checked the date and looks good! Sounds like an event not to be missed! I must have worded my post bad but the car has the stock bose system and I want to replace it. What is a good head unit, speakers, amps -- etc... I have a good idea of what functions wont work on the car anymore, but as far as what components to get I am lost!
Would tweeter be a good place to get things installed? Or just wait for the meet!

Here are good brands to look for from tweeter
Headunit - Alpine, Eclipse is all i would own
Speakers - Boston Acoustics - MB Quart

Replacing you entire BOSE setup wwill be a little bit too much work for the meet, id recommend buying the headunit adapter and taking it to a shop. I always had good luck with tweeter, but they are a little bit pricey.

Also, take a look around at smaller shops, get some quotes, and most of all.. TRY everything.. listen to all the speakers and make you decision from there.. Every brand sounds different (even headunits a bit) and everyones ear appeals to a different tone.
