Issue with Sound on install of new DVD/Nav
So I recently purchased the Alpine INE-Z928HD from crutchfield and installed it into my 2013 Avalanche with the alpine GM perfect fit kit. It was all plug and play and very easy to install..
My configuration before new Alpine deck
Bose system without navigation
Once I installed the deck and everything was working just fine but something seemed off. My front left speakers didnt seem like they were getting all the power, it is like a 30/70 split sound wise in the front. All other speaker in the rear and right hand side front worked perfectly fine. Just issue with the front left speakers.
I pulled the deck back out to double check my connections. All was done correctly the harness for plugging into the Bose side was connected.
just to see what would happen i unplugged frmo the bose side and connected it to the non bose side, all the speakers were again sounding like they did before the install. However there was now a small humming sound that stayed the same no matter engine rpm and what not.
I am a bit confused as to what could be going on.
Any tips or ideas that you all may have on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

i wonder if someone put the wrong speaker in there and it missed inspection. i would pull the door cover and look at it. possibly swap it with the other side or swap the wires at the head unit if its easier so you can narrow it down to a head unit problem or speaker problem. normally bose speakers are 2 ohm

Ill have to look into that today when I get home from work. The only other thing that I can think of is the Factory/perfect fit kit Ground harness is not adequate and I need to upgrade that cable. For the Hum issue.
Still not sure why the front left speakers dont work to 100%.

dont know that much about the perfect kit but going by your info seems like one set is for 4 ohm power level and one is for 2( your truck should be 2) and if you plug 2 ohm speakers into something designed for 4 its taxing the amp inside.

depends what speakers you get the aftermarket 2ohm speakers are more expensive and not as much choice.the 4ohm speakers there are tons to choose so if you go that why you will need to leave it

Silly question, but did you check the front/rear balance, I am pretty sure by default it would be 50/50, but maybe for some reason that deck was not set to default front/rear balance...

Yeah this was one of the first things I checked. I have done factory resets and hard resets on the head unit, not to mention checked the balance/fader all that about 30 times hoping I will magically make it work. Im leaning this issue is more speaker related now then the head unit.

update: Went into local store that retails these had them do a couple tests, They think its just the control module thats built into the perfect fit kit. So I contacted where i purchased it from and they are sending out a new one. Hope this resolves the problem. We will find out when it arrives on Monday.
