Default gain with aftermarket HU q'*

How would I hook up the gain amp? Which wires are the input, and is there a 12 volt trigger to turn the amp on? I fooled around with the radio wiring and I couldn't get any output from the wires in the trunk. I am insistent on using the gain control so I can turn off my subs from the drivers seat.

why dont you just put a switch inbetween the batterery and the power wire running back to the subs?
