Default door panel-- undoing electrical sources

when taking off the door panel to put in my new 4x6'* i try to disconnect the power source from the panel with door locks, window tabs, etc but unless i snip the wires, im not seeing any way to get the whole thing off and out of the way so i can proceed with dismantling the door panel..

If I understand what you're saying, there'* a bunch of wires that go into a round plug, and the whole plug should pull away from the switch assembly.

This is a pic of the passenger door, but the driver door should be similar..i've had it apart with no problems.

actually JDB the Drivers assembly is different that that but it looks the same only much larger......here is what to do

the window switches and the trim have 2 tabs on each side
pull them outwards ( they are soft and will not break)
take the mass of wires and pull sightly to separate them from the window switchs
if the wires dont come off take a flathead screw driver and gently pry the edges up

expect this piece to fit really tight and not want to come off
