Default Just bought an '83, any good parts sources?

Hi, I'm new here, it'* cool to find a Bonneville forum. I just bought an '83 Bonneville, it'* silverish-green with a matching vinyl top and a gray interior. I got it for $250 and it only has 70k! It'* real solid, the interior is decent, some cigarette burns , the last owner was a slob and didn't care for it so it mostly needs cleaning out. It has a V6, but I can always swap that out (or modify it for now?). It'* a real attractive car, nicely equipped, it resembles the early 80'* Malibu but it'* better appointed. I'll post pics soon if anyone is interested.

It seems to have some electrical problems, the radio doesn't work (MUST fix that), and the front windows work when they want. I really like the car, the color combo and styling, I actually didn't care what was wrong with it, after seeing it one day I kept thinking about it and I had to have it lol. I'm not sure if it'* a Brougham, it doesn't have the badging, but has the vinyl top and side lights (classy ). Does anyone know any good sources for parts new/used (especially NOS)? Thanks

BTW- How common are these cars? I can't find much on the 'net about them, even on cardomain.

If you are going to mod it, put a V8 in it! The parts for small block chevys are cheap and plentiful. Easy to mod. I don't know anything about NOS though. I think I'm about the only one here with a really modded 80'* bonne, so feel free to ask me anything. Good luck!

Default Small block

Yeah I bet a V8 swap would be pretty easy, the V6 in it is a little weak, even compared to the 305 in my Caprice.

I had another idea if you don't want to swap engines, find a wrecked Grand National and swap the heads, computer, turbo etc. and have yourself a turbo Bonneville!
