Default Cassette Adapter question

What is the deal with cassette adapters that allow you too hook up external audio devices like an ipod? Can someone tell me which one I need? I have a 2001 Chevy Venture van.

The factory radio has no external inputs, and FM transmitters are just nasty.

The cassette adapter I got at radio shack dose not play nice with my factory delco stereo. It works for about 2 seconds and then the radio ejects it. It does play real cassetts just fine.

Any advise?

I don't believe there are different styles for different radios. I would try purchasing another tape adapter (you can find them for cheap pretty much everywhere) and see how it goes. If you get one from Walmart you can always take it back if it doesn't work.

Tom is right, any of them should work, Walmart has a cheap decent one that should work.

Do you already have a car adapter for powering it as well?
If not and you want a decent cheap one recommend this one, I use it with my iPhone3GS and it works, it should also work for your iPod.
