Audio (and aftermarket electronics) This is your place for alarms, remote starters, to brag about your system, exaggerate your db levels, or simply ask questions for stock or aftermarket audio. No Flames! (except from roasted amps)

For $100'ish US you can get a killer cheater amp.... old school, but probably one of the top 10 amps ever made..... Orion HCCA 225 watt amp. Down side to them is the speaker terminals (make sure the speaker terminals are included as the original block terminals are no longer available) are basically pig tails, so you have to splice the connection, which isn't the cleanest or purdiest. :?
Stable down to .5 ohms.
I had mine only for a short while and it powered my Infinity Reference 1232W sub bridged to 200 RMS @ 2 ohm load no problem. I still have it, don't have a sub, but am not about to part with it. :P

They just don't make amps like they used to. I had a chance to buy one of those amps like 5 years ago for like $350.00 but I passed on it. In my opinion those were some of the best amps ever made and some of the best looking with their red housings. But honestly all they don't have the technology of today'* amps. You have just reminded me of my dream amplifier the Orion 2250 AKA "The Beast". If any of you guys can find me an Orion 1 watt or 5 watt amp, I will name my second born child after you( Not your screen name either. I am a black man, so i wouldn't want to open my child up to the insults he would recieve if i named him toasted oats....)
